In Q2 2024, the iOS platform saw varied activity among the top business finance and solutions applications. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at how these apps performed in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
SumUp: Payments and POS experienced a significant surge in downloads towards the end of the quarter, jumping from around 200-300 downloads per week to a peak of 806. Weekly active users also saw a steady increase, with a notable rise from approximately 4.9K to 6.3K in the final week of the quarter.
PayPal Business, on the other hand, maintained a consistent download pattern, ranging from 195 to 299 weekly downloads. The app's weekly active users fluctuated slightly but ended the quarter with a slight dip from 2.2K to just over 2K.
The Stripe Dashboard observed modest weekly downloads, with numbers hovering around the 80-130 mark. Its active user base showed more vitality, peaking at 517 users in the penultimate week before settling at 496 by the quarter's end.
Revolut Business had a more subdued quarter. Downloads remained low, with weekly figures not exceeding 100 and dipping as low as 21 in mid-May. Active users saw a peak in late April at 523 but generally trended downwards to 407 by late June.
Lastly, Shopify Point of Sale (POS) showed the least amount of download activity among the top apps, ranging from 19 to 63 downloads a week. However, the app's weekly active users presented a positive trend, growing from 102 to 150 over the course of the quarter.
